Interesting perspective. Certainly flies in the face of countless shelves of self-help books (a quality which in and of itself might prove it true, ha). Personally I aspire to a state of being where hope (and it's other cousin: faith) are not necessary to human survival, but I have a feeling that we'll not get there anytime soon. Seems we are hard wired to hope, lest we would be automatons and probably just quit before we tried anything.
I enjoyed the lyrical style and the realist angle. The bah humbug is good for us sometimes.

A realist perspective on life and love. Perhaps too honest for the faint of heart or those woeful who still hope.
