I like stories that I can relate to. This brought me right into the moment. I reminded me of the first girl I was in love with when I was 22, how it went sideways, and how I suffered emotionally and physically like you described.. To me this is great description about the early detox from a person. Nice work.

Although this is fiction, it flawlessly portrays the difficult hospital experience and the family landscape during a health crisis.

The description of breast cancer as a "time bomb" or "punishment" was an interesting parallel. There is no "six degrees of separation" with breast cancer, as everyone knows someone...for me it was a college friend, Daneille Urlacher. (Sept 1974-February 2008).

The reading itself is full of personality, the writing is sharp with detail. Looking forward to listening to more of your work!
